Tenure and Fields of Study
The Research awards are tenable for 2 years starting in April 2011 or 18 months starting in October 2011.

Criteria and Eligibility

1. Applicants must be graduates or final year students under 35 years of age on 1 April 2011 (born on or after 2 April 1976)
2. Applicants must be Australian citizens.
3. Applicants must also be willing to study the Japanese language, and to receive instruction I that language.


Examination and Interview
Optional Japanese language examination and mandatory interviews will be conducted at the Embassy of Japan, Canberra and Consulates-General of Japan, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane. Travel expenses for examination and interview will be borne by applicants.

1. Kedutaan Besar Jepang menawarkan Beasiswa Pemerintah Jepang (Monbukagakusho) kepada siswa-siswi Indonesia lulusan Sekolah Lanjutan Tingkat Atas (SLTA) untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke Universitas (S-1), College of Technology (D-3) atau Professional Training College (D-2) di Jepang mulai tahun akademik 2011 (April 2011). Pelamar hanya bisa mendaftar 1 (satu) program dari S-1, D-3, atau D-2.

Syarat-syarat pengambilan formulir bagi calon pelamar sebagai berikut:
(1)Lahir antara tanggal 2 April 1989 dan tanggal 1 April 1994.
(2)Nilai rata-rata ijazah atau rapor kelas 3 semester/cawu terakhir minimal:
Program S-1 :8,4
Program D-3 :8,0

>>Jika pada saat penutupan (10 Juni 2010) nilai ijazah asli belum bisa dikeluarkan, maka nilai ijazah sementara dari Kepala Sekolah bisa diterima.

Mereka yang tinggal di luar JABODETABEK, Surabaya dan Medan dapat melamar melalui surat yang ditujukan kepada Kedutaan Besar Jepang (Jl. M. H. Thamrin 24 Jakarta Pusat 10350), Konsulat Jenderal Jepang Surabaya atau Medan. Surat itu harus berisi nama, tanggal lahir, alamat, nomor telepon, program pilihan (S-1, D-3, atau D-2), 3 (tiga) bidang studi yang ingin dipelajari dan dilampiri fotokopi rapor, ijazah, serta nilai ijazah.

3. Formulir harus dikembalikan ke Kedutaan Besar Jepang atau Konsulat Jenderal Jepang lengkap dengan fotokopi rapor, ijazah, dan nilai ijazah sampai tanggal 10 Juni 2010.

About RONPAKU Program


The aim of JSPS’s RONPAKU (Dissertation PhD) Program is to provide tutorial and financial support to promising young researchers in Asia who wish to obtain their PhD degrees from Japanese universities through the submission of a dissertation without going through a doctoral course. Grantees under the program (RONPAKU Fellows) are given the opportunity to visit their Japanese advisor once a year to receive direct supervision at the Japanese university where they will submit their PhD thesis.

JSPS Support

* RONPAKU Fellows may visit their Japanese host university once a year for a maximum period of 90 days for the purpose of studying under the supervision of their Japanese advisor.
* JSPS provides RONPAKU Fellows with a roundtrip international air ticket (economy class), maintenance allowance and medical/accidental insurance, and covers expenses related to dissertation submission during their stays in Japan.
* The Japanese advisor may visit the RONPAKU fellow’s home university or research institution once a year for a maximum period of 30 days for the purpose of supervising RONPAKU Fellow’s study.
* JSPS provides Japanese Advisors with a roundtrip air ticket (economy class) and maintenance allowance, and covers their visa issuance fees and supervising expenses during their stays in the fellow’s country.
* During the fellow’s stay in Japan, JSPS provides the Japanese Advisor with an allowance for supervising his/her study at the host institution.

Beasiswa Monbukagakusho

Pendaftaran untuk keberangkatan tahun 2011 telah dibuka pada 12 April 2010 dan akan ditutup pada tanggal 12 Mei 2010. Program ini ditujukan untuk mereka yang berminat dalam program research student di perguruan tinggi di Jepang.

Peminat pada waktu menjalani research student diperbolehkan melamar ke program degree (S2 / S3 / professional graduate course) atau meneruskan program S3 setelah menyelesaikan program S2 / professional graduate course, apabila lulus seleksi tes ujian yang diberikan oleh universitas yang bersangkutan.

Peminat juga dapat langsung masuk ke program degree tanpa mengikuti research student apabila telah mendapatkan izin dari universitas yang bersangkutan. Beasiswa diberikan tanpa ikatan dinas, mencakup biaya kuliah dan biaya hidup.

PERSYARATAN

1. Lahir pada dan setelah tanggal 2 April 1976.
2. IPK minimal 3.0 dari tingkat perguruan tinggi terakhir (atau nilai EJUminimal 260 dalam jumlah 2 mata ujian tidak termasuk Bahasa Jepang)
3. Nilai TOEFL-PBT minimal 550 atau TOEFL-CBT minimal 213 atau TOEFL-IBT minimal 79 atau ekuivalen, atau nilai Japanese Language Proficiency Test minimal level 2.
4. Memilih bidang studi yang sama dengan disiplin ilmu sebelumnya.
5. Bersedia belajar Bahasa Jepang.
6. Sehat jasmani dan rohani.
7. Pelamar harus membaca dan memahami lampiran keterangan secara teliti.

TAHAP PENYELEKSIAN

1. Kedutaan Besar Jepang melakukan seleksi dokumen, dan akan memberitahukan kepada mereka yang lolos 1 (satu) minggu sebelum ujian tertulis. (Kurang lebih 100 pelamar dipilih melalui seleksi dokumen ini.)
2. Ujian tertulis Bahasa Jepang dan Bahasa Inggris akan dilaksanakan di Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan pada awal Juli 2010. (Bahasa Inggris sebagai ujian pilihan. Nilai yang lebih tinggi akan dipakai untuk pertimbangan seleksi.)
3. Wawancara akan diadakan di Jakarta bagi seluruh peserta ujian tertulis dari pada bulan Juli 2010 sesuai dengan jadwal yang sudah ditentukan oleh Kedubes Jepang (biaya transportasi dan akomodasi tidak disediakan Kedubes Jepang).
4. Bagi yang lolos seleksi di Kedubes Jepang, akan diberikan surat keterangan sbb: 1 (satu) berkas formulir beserta dokumen yang telah diberi stamp Kedubes Jepang, surat keterangan untuk perguruan tinggi di Jepang, dan lembar “Letter of Acceptance”. Pelamar boleh memilih maksimal 3 (tiga) perguruan tinggi untuk mendapatkan izin penerimaan sebagai mahasiswa program degree atau research student, atau “Letter of Acceptance” (izin penerimaan tidak resmi) sebagai research student.

Beasiswa Jepang 2010 | Master Scholarship Program by The OKAZAKI KAHEITA International Scholarship Foundation

THE OKAZAKI KAHEITA INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION


Anyone who supports the objectives of the foundation to build his/her own country and to promote international friendship, is outstanding in personality and ability, in sound health and is deemed to be in need of financial assistance for educational expenses, and who meets the following qualifications:
1. Be a citizen of Indonesia
2. Be a resident of Indonesia on April 1, 2010
3. Be born after April 2, 1986
4. Academic Qualifications: Must have graduated from a university designated by our foundation prior to March 31, 2011 and be able to obtain a letter of recommendation from his/her supervising professor. The applicants also required to have completed a total of 16 years of education at recognized educational facilities.
5. Major: The field of study selected by the applicant must be the same as his/her major at the undergraduate level. Preferably, the applicant should have selected the university of his/her choice and the supervising professor under whom he/her wishes to pursue graduate studies. The applicant`s proposed research theme should be suitable for study at the graduate level in a Japanese university.
6. Language ability: Must be able to understand graduate level lectures taught in Japanese or English. Selected applicants who have not yet learned Japanese are required to attend a Japanese language course at a language school for 6 months （approximately 500 hours）prior to coming to Japan. Furthermore, the selected applicant shall be required.
7. Dwelling: Must principally be willing to live in the ANA dormitory.
Note: The foundation thinks it desirable for the students to live in the ANA dormitory
Not only for the purpose of saving living expenses but also for the purpose of associating daily with young Japanese people living in the same facility.
8. Others: The foundation deems it most suitable that the selected applicant come to Japan alone (without his/her family) to study under our program.
- The student must live alone (without his/her family) for the first year in Japan.
- After one year it is possible for the selected student to live with his/her family if he/she wished to do so, but the foundation cannot give any assistance for his/her family.

Note: It is generally very hard for students from abroad to live and study in Japan. With his/her family, as the student will meet many difficulties such as the high cost of living, housing problems and language difficulty.

All applications must reach the Okazaki Kaheita International Scholarship Foundation no later than May 31, 2010. (Applications received after the closing date will not be accepted.)

Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (WBGSP)

JJ/WBGS Program

In 1987, the World Bank, with funding from the Government of Japan, established the World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (WBGSP) for graduate studies in subjects related to economic development. Each year, the Program awards scholarships to individuals from World Bank member countries to undertake graduate studies at renowned universities throughout member countries of the Bank.

Now in its 23d year, the Regular Program has awarded 3,153 scholarships, selected from 58,944 applicants. In addition, 1,226 scholarships have been awarded in the various JJ/WBGSP Partnership Programs for a total of 4,379 awards.
Since the inception of the Program, the Government of Japan has provided over 204,7 million dollars to the Scholarship Program. The Program’s objective is to help create an international community of highly trained professionals working in the field of economic and social development. The World Bank and the Government of Japan require the scholars to return to their home countries on completion of their study Programs and apply their enhanced knowledge and skills to contribute to the development process in their respective regions and communities.

Starting in 1992, a number of Partnership Programs have been launched, largely to respond to the need for graduate study Programs which combine academic rigor with specialized training in the practical aspects of policy-making. The objective of these Programs is to prepare the participants for effective policy-making roles in their home countries and regions.

The World Bank administers the Program through the World Bank Institute (WBI). Policy guidance for the Program is provided by a Steering Committee comprised of three Executive Directors and five senior managers of the Bank. A Secretariat for day-to-day administration is maintained within WBI.

Each of these newly established Centers of Excellence is located at a leading higher education institution in the country with a demonstrated track record in the pursuit of excellence. The goal of the program is to promote excellence in research in these Centers to support the Ministry of National Education in its mission to improve the quality of higher education and research in the country.

Who can apply?
Applicants must meet the following general criteria to be eligible for a scholarship:

1. Be a national and resident of Indonesia
2. Be under 45 years at application deadline
3. Must have completed and been awarded a master`s degree, or equivalent, at the time of application however, outstanding candidates with a bachelor degree can be considered for a Master-PhD track
4. Have maintained a GPA of at least 3 on a scale of 4 in both undergraduate and graduate studies

Eligible candidates are evaluated by the sponsoring Center of Excellence (CoE) which screens the applications according to their selection procedures for graduate scholarships. Final awards are made by a Steering Committee, based on the following:

- academic records
- professional and academic experience; and
- relevance of proposed program of study to the corresponding CoE.
Selected candidates will be informed by the relevant CoE.

Scholar`s Commitment
The scholarship recipient will be requested to sign a formal commitment to return and work in his/her sponsoring CoE for a minimum of a two-year period for each year of scholarship received. Each CoE commits to recruit its sponsored scholars upon completion of their PhD studies.

Scholars are expected to mention the JIPS scholarship in any publication related to their doctoral research work, including their thesis, and to provide the Program with a copy of their thesis upon graduation.

The Panasonic Scholarship Program 2010-2011

The Panasonic Scholarship Program was established in 1998 in commemoration of the company’s 80th anniversary as a way for the company to express its appreciation to society. Its aim is to provide scholarship opportunities to privately financed students from Asian countries who wish to pursue a master’s course in Japan, to offer financial assistance to foster highly educated experts who can contribute to the development of their countries in the 21st century, and to promote mutual friendship between their home countries and Japan.

Eligibility

A privately financed student from Indonesia, who wishes to pursue a master’s course in Japan, should meet the following requirements:

1. Nationality:
Applicants must be citizens of Indonesia

2. Educational Background etc:
Applicants must be graduates or pending graduates of universities and have a distinguished academic record and must have completed 16 years of school education or have been accepted as eligible for enrollment at the targeted graduate schools. However, applicants must have completed their bachelor degrees no more than 4 years prior to the date of their arrival in Japan. (with age less than 26 years old in March 2011).

3. Specialization:
Applicants must major in any one of the science and technology disciplines. (Mathematics, Natural Science, Engineering, Bio-technology, Agricultural, and IT (Information Technology)
Note: This excludes medical science, pharmacology and dentistry

4. Japanese Language Proficiency:
Applicants must have adequate proficiency and knowledge in the Japanese language not only for studying at master’s level but also for understanding Japanese culture.

5. Health Conditions:
Applicants must be medically fit and must be strongly motivated to study in Japan.

6. Others:

* Applicants must be interested in and have the desire to contribute to the development of Indonesia and to promote friendship between Indonesia and Japan. .
* Applicants must obtain a study visa and arrive in Japan by end of March 2011 to attend the award ceremony to be held at Panasonic Headquarters at the beginning of April 2011.
* Applicants who are receiving or will receive other scholarships including Japanese Government Scholarships are not eligible for the Panasonic Scholarship.
* Applicants who are already enrolled at graduate schools in Japan at the time of application are not eligible for the Panasonic Scholarship.

Application Procedures

Application Procedures: Indonesia Panasonic Office will select Panasonic Scholarship candidates in three phases, as follow :

* PHASE I.

All candidates must apply through (and only by) electronics application. This first selection will seek a record of the applicants overall data including: biographical information, academic records (GPA), language capabilities, and readiness to enroll master degree program in Japan.
The e-application submission will be closed on MARCH 10th, 2010 . In Phase I, 100 (hundreds) applicants will be selected as semifinalist and their names will be announced in MARCH 15th 2010 . via e-mail and website.

* PHASE II.

Semifinalists will be notified and receive an official application form through login and download from Panasonic Scholarship Indonesia website (user and password will deliver only to 100 (hundreds) Semifinalist later.
The form will require detailed biographical data, academic report (transcript), an essay of master research proposal, personal recommendations, and Professor acceptance. The semifinalist must submit official application form (item 1 until 5) as mentioned below by mail with deadline on APRIL 20 th, 2010.

Documents to be submitted in Phase II :
1. Application form (prescribed form No.1)
2. A letter of recommendation from the dean of the university the applicants graduated from (prescribed form No.2)
3. Study and research plan in Japan (prescribed form No.3)
4. Original university transcript (or legalized), photocopy only without legalized unacceptable.
5. A certified copy of the applicant’s degree
The committee will selects 12 (twelve) finalists based on documents screening, and mini-thesis or research proposal evaluation.

* PHASE III.

On June 7th – 8th, 2010 [tentative] all finalists will be invited to attend the Final Selection Stage. The Committee composed of Panasonic Gobel Group of Companies top management, distinguished universities professors, President of the Panasonic Scholarship Inc.
Japan, and Training & Recruitment Consultants will interview and evaluate each finalist. The 3 (three) most qualified finalists will be selected to be Panasonic Scholarship Nominees.

World Bank Scholarship Program 2010. Join Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program.

In 1987, the World Bank, with funding from the Government of Japan, established the World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (WBGSP) for graduate studies in subjects related to economic development. Each year, the Program awards scholarships to individuals from World Bank member countries to undertake graduate studies at renowned universities throughout member countries of the Bank.

Now in its 23d year, the Regular Program has awarded 3,153 scholarships, selected from 58,944 applicants. In addition, 1,226 scholarships have been awarded in the various JJ/WBGSP Partnership Programs for a total of 4,379 awards.

The objective of the Scholarship and Fellowship Programs is to help create an international community of highly-trained professionals working in the field of economic and social development. The community will actively participate in the capacity building efforts in the developing countries.

Eligibility

To apply for a JJ/WBGSP scholarship under the Regular Program, an applicant must:

* Be a national of a World Bank member country eligible to borrow.
* Be born after March 31, 1970.
* Have, by March 31, 2010, at least 2, preferably 4 to 5, years of recent full time professional experience acquired after a university degree, in the applicant’s home country or in another developing country.
* Hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
* Be in good health.
* Be of good character.
* Not be a permanent resident or a national of any industrialized country.
* Not be residing in an industrialized country for more than one year.
* Not be an Executive Director, his/her alternate, staff of the World Bank Group (the World Bank, International Finance Corporation, International Development Association, Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency, and International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes), consultant, or relative of the aforementioned.

Japan Summer Program 2010 Scholarship.

The RIKEN Brain Science Institute (RIKEN BSI) Summer Program 2010, Japan

For graduate students and postdoctoral students who are engaged in neuroscience. (undergraduate students are also accepted, if the student is excellent)

The RIKEN Brain Science Institute (RIKEN BSI), located just outside Tokyo, Japan, offers a summer program to train advanced students interested in brain function. Applicants may choose either a two-month laboratory internship (Plan A) within a RIKEN BSI laboratory, or participate in an intensive 11-day lecture course (Plan B) featuring a distinguished international faculty. Those participating in the internship may also enroll in the lecture course.

Typically, around 45 international students are accepted to the Summer Program each year. Attendees have wide-ranging academic backgrounds and are usually enrolled in graduate courses, or have recently embarked on postdoctoral research. However, candidates holding other positions are encouraged to apply.

Attendees usually reside on/near the RIKEN campus, where they have ample opportunity to interact with invited lecturers, other attendees and RIKEN BSI researchers. Students unable to provide their own financial support will be considered for travel and accommodation bursaries provided by RIKEN BSI.

Plan A: Internship & Lecture (Jul. 1 – Aug. 26, 2010)
Summer interns will work in a BSI Lab. for two months and participate in the research activities of the host laboratory.

Interns will give a presentation on their work at the end of the course. Potential host laboratories are announced annually from the following list.

Plan B: Lecture (Jul. 20-30, 2010)
The lecture course is set up to present both basic concept as well as cutting edge research that will aid in understanding the selected theme. The intensive course is a coherent platform from where a wide variety of important new research and techniques can be demonstrated.

Program Beasiswa Fujitsu 2010

Fujitsu, sebuah perusahaan produsen komputer menawarkan program beasiswa manajemen kepemimpinan global di Japan-America Institute of Management Science (JAIMS) tahun 2010 bagi mahasiswa yang berasal dari wilayah Asia-Pasific* termasuk diantaranya Indonesia.

Program beasiswa ini bertujuan memberikan kesempatan bagi masyarakat di Asia Pasifik untuk memberikan sumbangsih lewat pembelajaran nilai dan budaya yang berbeda, serta bisnis global. Fujitsu memberikan beasiswa bagi program baru di JAIMS, yakni East-West Leaders Program (EWKLP) yang bertujuan menyiapkan generasi baru pemimpin bisnis.

Pendaftaran permohonan beasiswa ini dibuka hingga 10 Maret 2010. Dilanjutkan dengan wawancara pada April dan pemilihan peserta di bulan Mei.

JAIMS EWKLP 2010 Fall Term ini akan berlangsung mulai 11 Oktober 2010 hingga 6 Januari 2011 di Hawaii, AS dan Jepang. Program EWKLP menggabungkan praktik-praktik terbaik dari Timur dan Barat dengan format pembelajaran intensif. Setelah masa perkuliahan di Hawaii, peserta akan diundang ke Jepang untuk mengikuti berbagai kegiatan terkait kebudayaan, pendalaman tentang Fujitsu dan pemberian penghargaan.

Beasiswa Fujitsu ini meliputi:

Persyaratan:

1. A bachelor’s degree or a degree equivalent to a four-year standard baccalaureate degree in any discipline from a regionally or nationally accredited institution.
2. Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
3. A minimum TOEFL score of 577/233/90 (paper/computer/Internet), TOEIC score of 750, or IELTS overall band test result of 6.5 or higher from tests taken between March 2008 and March 2010. Applicants who received a bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree with at least two years of full-time coursework within the last five years from a regionally accredited institution in the United States, Australia, United Kingdom, or New Zealand; or from a university in Canada, Africa or Singapore, where English is the language of instruction are exempt from taking the TOEFL, TOEIC, or IELTS.
4. A minimum of three years of relevant full-time work experience (five years preferred) at the time of application.

Informasi Beasiswa Monbukagakusho - Program Teacher Training (Penataran Guru)

Pendaftaran untuk keberangkatan tahun 2009 akan dibuka pada 16 November dan ditutup pada 29 Januari 2010

Program Penataran Guru (Teacher Training Program) adalah salah satu program beasiswa Pemerintah Jepang (Monbukagakusho) yang dirancang khusus bagi para guru untuk meningkatkan.kualitas pengajaran sesuai dengan bidangnya. Mereka akan diberikan pelatihan dalam cara mengajar, pembuatan rencana belajar-mengajar yang lebih efektif dan menarik minat siswa dan hal-hal lain yang dapat mengingkatkan kualitas dan memapuan para guru. Program ini adalah program non-gelar dan lamanya adalah 1 tahun 6 bulan (termasuk 6 bulan belajar bahasa Jepang) dari Oktober 2010.

PERSYARATAN

1. Lulusan S-1 atau D-4 dan guru yang mengajar secara aktif di SD, SLTP, SLTA (termasuk sekolah swasta dan SMK).
2. Pelamar telah mengajar lebih dari 5 tahun di lembaga pendidikan formal pada tanggal 1 April 2010. Semua bidang ditawarkan kecuali, bahasa Indonesia, bahasa daerah, bahasa Arab, pendidikan agama dan perhotelan.
3. Usia di bawah 35 tahun pada tanggal 1 April 2010.
4. Sehat jasmani dan rohani. (bagi pelamar wanita tidak diperbolehkan dalam kondisi hamil)
5. Bersedia belajar bahasa Jepang karena bahasa pengantar di universitas adalah bahasa Jepang.

FASILITAS YANG DIDAPAT

1. Tanpa ikatan dinas.
2. Tiket kelas ekonomi p.p. Indonesia (Jakarta) – Jepang.
3. Bebas biaya ujian masuk, biaya kuliah, dan uang pendaftaran.
4. Tunjangan bulanan sebesar ¥ 170.000 per bulan (ada kemungkinan mengalami perubahan).
5. Peserta disediakan asrama yang pembayarannya diatur sendiri oleh penerima beasiswa.

CARA PELAMARAN

1. Pendaftaran dibuka pada 16 November 2009 dan ditutup pada 29 Januari 2010.
2. Bagi pelamar, baik pegawai negeri maupun swasta dapat langsung menyerahkan/mengirimkan formulir yang telah diisi ke Bagian Pendidikan Kedutaan Besar Jepang dengan dilampiri dokumen yang diperlukan.
3. Bagi pelamar yang berstatus pegawai negeri tetap harus melapor dan menyerahkan fotokopi formulir kepada Biro Kerjasama Luar Negeri (BKLN) Departemen Pendidikan Nasional.

1. Ujian tertulis bahasa Inggris (khusus untuk guru bahasa Jepang: ujian bahasa Jepang) pada tanggal 16 Februari 2010.
2. Bagi yang lulus ujian tertulis akan dipanggil untuk mengikuti wawancara di Jakarta.
3. Bagi yang lulus wawancara akan direkomendasikan ke Monbukagakusho.
4. Mereka yang lolos seleksi di Monbukagakusho akan menjadi penerima beasiswa.
