Beasiswa S2 Jerman | Master Of Photonics Sholarship

Photonics – Scholarships from the Federal Government of Germany

International students wishing to go for a Master at the Abbe School of Photonics can apply for a scholarship, which is granted in cooperation with partners from the German Optics & Photonics industry, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the County of Thuringia.

Scholarships include a stipend of 715 Euro per month, covering of university fees, free local transport and health insurance. In addition, a language course is reimbursed.

Scholarships are restricted to international students. For 2010/2011 a total amount of approx. 33 scholarships is available for these students.

For application please use the online application system. Additionally, please provide the following documents and upload them in .pdf format on the application extranet.

* a (certified) copy of your secondary school leaving certificate
* a (certified) copy of your academic degree
* (certified) copies of your transcripts of records
* a (certified) copy of your official English language test score (TOEFL, IELTS,…)
* a (certificate) of the Academic Evaluation Centre (Chinese, Vietnamese, Mongolian applicants)
* two academic letters of recommendation
* a letter of motivation
* a CV

Please note: To apply for a scholarship at the Abbe School of Photonics it is not necessary to submit certified copies (paper) of the above mentioned documents. However, upon acceptance students will be asked to send certified copies via post. For upload of documents only .pdf documents are acceptable.

Application Deadline for Scholarship: The deadline will be until March, 31st, 2010. Please note that applications are evaluated on a rolling admission basis. Further information can be found here.

For Chinese, Vietnamese and Mongolian applicants: Since the certificate of the Academic Evaluation Centres is not required for the application for the scholarship you can send this document later, i.e. upon acceptance. The certificate is required to get the admission to the Master program.
